恐是「快速破壞型牙周病」已上門 匯流新聞網記者李盛雯/台北報導 牙周病是不折不扣的台灣國病，統計顯示，國內成年人的牙周病罹患率高達9成，每10個人當中就有9個罹患牙周病，且大多數人不自知，拖到症狀明顯時，牙周病恐已經惡化重度，尤其，臨床發現中重度牙周病患者中又有「快速破壞型牙周病」，常見在40歲以下年輕人，破壞速度遠較一般人快許多。

當代興國牙醫診所院長陳品熹表示，治療牙周病，首重清除口內的牙結石，輕度牙周病患者，可每半年至門診給牙醫師做全口牙結石清除；若是中度或是重度牙周病患者，就須做積極的牙周病治療，一般來說是牙根整平術合併雷射治療，將附著在牙根上的牙結石清除，再合併雷射治療殺菌；至於快速破壞型牙周病患者，相較於50歲以上族群，破壞速度快很多，處理起來較為棘手。
