傳統鋼牙矯正, 醫師可以藉由每次拉鋼線調整牙齒的角度, 可以說是邊做邊調整. 但隱形牙套是醫師在矯正前必須先以電腦畫出牙齒建築圖, 事先規劃未來療程中每一顆牙齒在什麼時候要移動多少角度, 最後病人的臉型會變成甚麼樣子, 都要事先規劃. 再將規劃圖交由國外製作整年份的牙套. 比起傳統矯正, 隱形牙套矯正術更需要醫師的專業, 經驗, 和對美感的判斷. 在台灣, 隱形牙套已經被消費者認同甚至凌駕傳統鋼牙矯正, 坊間也開始出現削價競爭甚至仿冒牙套. 建議消費者可以多聽不同醫師的分析, 決不能以價格作為第一考量, 畢竟牙齒健康美觀與臉型改變是不容出錯的啊!!
